The one with the mattress

developed for Hugo Sleep

Hugo was a mattress startup with a simple idea: make one good mattress and then tell people about it. I liked them immediately. 

I started with a tone of voice workshop to see how Hugo would sound. This wasn’t the usual ‘What would your product say if it could speak?’ branding nonsense; it was more the ‘Let’s make your product sound cool’ method of copywriting. Once we had a voice the rest was easy. Hugo was born, in all his foamy mattress glory.
